Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS) Higher Ed provides campus commerce services for higher education. Our suite of services includes automated billing and payment processing, actively managed tuition payment plans, campus wide commerce management, cashiering, and refunds for tuition and fees. These services are used by approximately 800 campuses and nearly two million students and families nationwide.
eBilling & ePayment
Our eBilling and ePayment service, known as QuikPAY®, provides students and families with 24/7 access to view bills and easily make payments online via credit/debit card or ACH.
Actively Managed Tuition Payment Plans
Our payment plan program gives students the opportunity to budget tuition and fee payments over time, making college more affordable while giving schools a tool to counter rising tuition costs and offload collection headaches.
Our cashiering service was developed with a school’s business office in mind. With NBS Cashiering, schools will operate in an automated, integrated environment where card processing, check scanning, and student account detail are all accessed via the NBS Cashiering system.
Schools have multiple departments that want to offer online sales, event promotion, application and deposit acceptance, and/or promotion of continuing educational offerings. Commerce Manager from Nelnet Business Solutions allows each department to conduct business, collect information, and accept payments online while maintaining central control of accounting in the business office. Nelnet Student Refunds is a comprehensive student refunds solution for colleges and universities. The program promotes choice in how students receive their refunds and includes ACH and paper check options as well as the ability to load any prepaid debit card. Nelnet handles everything—tracking student preferences, disbursing funds, and providing full reporting back to the institution, saving schools time and money.
Pending Aid from NBS is an innovative payment solution that helps administrators take control of the pending aid payment process. With Pending Aid, students awaiting financial aid can register for a payment plan before classes begin. In the event of a financial aid shortfall, students can pay in full, or we will begin processing payments on a predetermined schedule for the balance owed to the institution.
LoanPAY is a comprehensive payment solution that ensures borrowers and customer service representatives have the information they need in a format that facilitates better customer service and faster, more convenient loan payments. The 24/7 web-based services consolidate multiple loans into a single interface and allow customer service representatives to set up payment schedules over the telephone on behalf of delinquent borrowers.
